Short description

Live Mealworms 100-pack

Ideal storage at 15-16 degrees.

Most animals eat mealworms, including people, they are fairly low in calcium so should not be used as a staple food for turtles and reptiles. They are high in protein and low in fat. They are not able to climb smooth-sided sontainers so can be fed out in clean plastic or ceramic dishes. When fed to birds, it not usually necessary to seperate them from the bran as the birds will pick through it themselves.

Click and collect only, to avoid spills during delivery

Description

Maintain at room temperature, out of direct sunlight. They can be kept in a cupboard with no light at all. When feeding to frogs, axolotls, turtles or reptiles, they should be seperated from the bran first. Squeamish customers can use tweezers or a teaspoon. If one pack is to be used over several weeks, the lid should be discarded as moisture may build up and the culture may get mancky. In this case, there should be a 2cm gap between the top of the food and the top of the container to stop them climbing out.
